Q & As
from Love Little Shops
To help you find a good clinic offering physiotherapy treatment for back pain and musculo-skeletal problems in Milton Keynes.
01/
What makes your clinic unique?
Action Physiotherapy is an established clinic in Milton Keynes highly skilled in treating chronic back pain and musculo-skeletal problems. We use joint mobilisation, acupuncture, massage and Pilates exercises as part of our holistic treatment programme.
We provide a caring and friendly environment, that is committed to giving our patients the best treatment available. If the injury goes beyond our level of expertise, we will refer you on to a well reputed surgeon/consultant. We also offer small and specialised Pilates classes, as well as one on one sessions to maximise recovery and rehabilitation.
02/
What are your physiotherapy specialisms?
Annelies is specialised in pregnancy- related back and neck pain, as well as pelvic girdle pain. She has also had specialised training in Pilates for ante- and post- natal pain and weakness. She also deals a lot with adolescent and sporting injuries. Because children’s bodies are totally different skeletally than adults, the injuries are also totally different.
Wayne deals with dizziness and vestibular problems, as well as being an expert with sporting injuries and back problems. He has been been called a “guru” on more than one occasion by his client following.
Action Physiotherapy is continuing to grow as a sports and musculo-skeletal injury clinic. Wayne and Annelies are the main physiotherapists, treating, diagnosing and also referring patients on to consultants should they need further investigation or management.
Jo is a loyal member of the Action Physiotherapy team and is a qualified
Physiotherapist. Jo has wide experience in treating both acute and chronic injuries. She is also trained in Kinesiology, Taping, APOS Therapy, APPI Pilates for low back pain and Ossur unloader brace application for osteoarthritis.
Kate has been at Action Physiotherapy since November 2020, and has been busy from day one. She has a strong musculoskeletal background having been Clinical Lead for the Musculoskeletal Service in Milton Keynes, she hence brings a wealth of experience in complex chronic and acute Musculoskeletal problems. She also enjoys treating adolescent sports and growth problems and helps to identify issues and develop exercises plans to improve strength and function. Kate has been qualified
for 30 years, so should be able to help you, or point you in the right direction with any type of musculo- skeletal pain.
Nathaniel, our sports therapist is passionate about helping both sports people and the not-so-sporty recover from injury. He offers sports massage, hot stone massage and Indian head massage. Nathaniel will concentrate on the area you feel is most in need.
Action Physiotherapy also has an experienced massage therapist, Caroline, working from their premises. She gives deep tissue, sports and relaxing massage, and contributes brilliantly to the success of our clinic.
Where can I park?
Please park just behind our clinic in the Telegraph Walk car park, this offers 2 hours free parking. Or you can park on the High Street for half an hour, or unlimited with a disabled badge.
Professional Memberships
All our Physios are members of the Health Professions Council, Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and either the Acupuncture Association of Physiotherapists or the British Medical Acupuncture Society, if they practice acupuncture. They are fully committed to continuing professional development and keeping up with current, and evidence based practice.
